IBC Tote Recycling Questions

Our rebates depend heavily on what was previously inside the container. The most valuable totes are ones that previously contained food grade material or alcohol. We pay anywhere from $10 to $100 per tote. We can provide more info once we have all the information needed

If you are located near one of our locations we are able to provide local pick ups for any amount of used totes. For longer distances we require anywhere from 40-60 bulk containers per pick up 

The most widley used and common size are the 330 Gallon and 272 Gallon Totes. That being said we are avaible to haul off and recycle any size in the united states

Companies like Schutz and Mauser often time will offer pick up services for their used IBCs. Altough you are not required to give them back to the company. Sometimes it is best to shop around and find the best deal for return services

Yes! For larger companies that require multiple pick ups per day or week we offer drop trailers. Then we will haul off the trailer and replace it whenever necessary.

The IBCs must be empty in accordance with RCRA regulations. It is allowed for an empty bulk container to contain a maximum of 0.3% by weight of the total volume of the bulk container. An RCRA emptier is allowed to empty .9 of one gallon of the total volume of a 275 Gallon IBC. RCRA allows an emptier who empties a 330 gallon IBC to dump 1.1 gallons of material into the IBC. SG measures the weight of the SDS inside a container by looking at what the weight of the SDS is. It is not considered a bulk container if the volume of your container does not exceed 119 gallons. If you cannot declare an IBC as RCRA empty if they cannot see the majority of the bottom of it (exposed / not covered by any residue) of the plastic inner receptacle of the IBC. It is important to note that all containers must be emptied in accordance with all local and state regulations as well.

In general you want to be able to see the bottom plastic of the tote and have less than 1 inch of liquid in the container
